Ben Evans
Ben Evans's musical journey has been one hell of a ride, leading him onto a path that is only progressing upward to spectacular heights.
After discovering a small record shop in Hawthorn, his heart was stolen away by the combination of powerful beauty and driving basslines in trance and psy. And since then he has dedicated his passion and energy to it, perfecting his djing skills whilst loving each and every moment.
As his vinyl collection grew, his appreciation for dance music evolved and Ben developed his own unique djing style which combines tribal, techy, progressive and melodic sounds driven by slamming drums and psychedelic groove. With it fused together in one sweeping mix of styles, colours and sounds in an atmospheric, earthly environment he transforms his audience into a united rhythmic movement.
As the founder of the infamous Interview parties, Ben and his strong team of friends have helped rebuild the Melbourne progressive / trance scene and now have a huge, committed, passionate following.
From modest beginnings, Ben quickly accelerated ahead of the others and left his musical imprint upon diverse scenes. From huge mainroom crowds, to intimate underground regulars, even all the way to the big outdoor crowds of the Australian psychedelic bush doofs.Ben has played seamless and exciting sets alongside the likes of Martin Roth, Infected Mushroom, S.U.N Project, Midimiliz & Extrawelt, Space Tribe, John 00 Fleming, Lish, Gareth Emery, Mark Norman, Luke Vibert, Christopher Lawrence, Sean Tyas, Kyau & Albert, and Andy Moor, just to name a few.
