Jed

From powerful and beautiful uplifting melodies to dirty and static, techy basslines, the consistent fusion of uplifting and tech-trance sounds that emanate from young Melbourne DJ Jed inject an exciting energy and enthusiasm into every set. Predominately found either behind the decks or on the dancefloor at Melbourne's most popular monthly trance night - Interview - Jed has only churned out a handful of live trance sets since early 2007 that have already established a bright and energetic future for the young DJ.

Beginning his love affair with the dance music scene on New Years Eve 2002, Jed found himself awestruck at the majestic, neon-electric world of dance music, experiencing a type of inspiration he'd never felt before. From here he found a lifelong solace in the world of dance music, drawing himself primarily to the trance sound that would see him spend the next four years attending some of the biggest trance events in the country.
Interview is.... the reason people stay out of bed on the weekend ;)
As the clubbing honeymoon began to offer more and more, Jed decided to open a new chapter in enjoying the underground music he loved so much by attempting the world of DJing. The layered synths and pads of uplifting trance tied with powerful bassline kicks that took control of him on that faithful New Years Eve night in 2002 ignited Jed's final passion to be a DJ and gave him the chance to give back to the dance music scene that had provided him with so much over the years.

Dedicating months of effort and practice to perfecting his skills, Jed's debut at Interview in March 2007 left the crowd pleading for another taste and since then, Jed since played out to fans and friends alike at Brown Alley, 3D Club, Tilt and Metro Nightclub in Melbourne. He has spun at nights with international's like Tenisha, Kuffdam, Mark Sherry, Wippenberg, Scot Project and Marcel Woods as well as Interview residents Ben Evans, Mike Nichol, Steve Strangis and Blinky whilst most commonly being seen alongside fellow Melbourne DJ, Denham Jay. Ensuring the crowd have as much fun as he does, the down-to-earth, friendly kid focuses on the affect of the music he plays, stirring emotions, stealing breaths away and leaving smiles on faces whilst having a blast in the process.

Influenced by the enegetic and creative likes of Eddie Halliwell, the flawless track selection of Sander van Doorn and the unmistakeable genuine style and flow of Armin van Buuren, Jed thrusts himself into spinning momentum to create hectic and solid sets that stitch powerful bass, epic breakdowns and dirty synths together, creating an infectious and unique style exclusive to him.
