KillRockStar proudly presents...

Airport has landed at the former Metro!

23rd February 2008 : 5:00 am to 2:00 pm

Palace Theatre (formerly Metro) - 20 Bourke Street Melbourne

Conquering the Icarus syndrome and setting course for the sun, the fabulous new Airport concept is about to bedazzle Australian clubbers with an irreverently fresh approach to the global sounds of summer.

Drawing inspiration from the four corners of the globe and yet tailor made for Melbourne party peeps, the Airport trance mafia promises a hoedown of lunatic proportions!

Proving once and for all that life is in fact a cabaret, the Airport artisans have successfully fused sex with lasers, house with hard and introduced the full colours of the new school trance explosion!

From deep growling minimal basslines, stuttering electro and hands in the air trance through to full throttle techtrance- this event is built for pleasure!

Roll over 'gods chicken', take off your tired old trance pants - the Airport has landed!

Featuring the following Artists/DJs!

AGNELLI & NELSON (UK)

Agnelli and Nelson have been writing and producing dance music together since 1997 where their massive Balaeric classics 'El Nino' and 'Everyday' helped define the sound of the Ibiza party spirit, while five UK top thirty hits and countless buzz chart remixes catapulted the pair into the big leagues of superstar DJ stardom. Robbie and Chris have remixed major artists from rock legends U2 to dance music heavyweights Ferry Corsten and Armin Van Burren whereas recent club incursions have come through inspired remixes for the likes of Matt Darey, Jon the Dentist, Scott Bond vs Solar Stone and former label-mates Chicane.

More recent releases such as ‘Sleeping In Airports’ and ‘Wear That Dress’ became instant club hits, however it was their remix of ‘Big Sky’ that would prove the biggest success of 2007 being voted number one on Armin's 'A State Of Trance' annual roundup. On the travel front, the Irish duo have been spinning throughout the world from the U.S. to Japan, as well as regular European and UK dates such as Passion, Godskitchen, Gatecrasher and Slinky. www.myspace.com/agnelliandnelson

TOMCRAFT (GERMANY)

After a storming appearance at Two Tribes 2004, Tomcraft returns as one of Europe’s best hit-makers. Thomas Bruckner aka TOMCRAFT has catapulted himself this past year through various charts in different countries. But he not only gained attention as a producer of various chart hits, he also established himself as an internationally requested Top DJ with which has seen him time and time again with appearances in Germany at MAYDAY, LOVE PARADE, ENERGY, NATURE ONE and with an international following in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and throughout Europe.

His 2002 mega anthem 'Loneliness' catapulted Tomcraft into the major league, however it his unique blend driving electro, funky techno and lush progressive that have afforded him critical acclaim and hosts of fans and true believers. www.myspace.com/tomcraft01

GREG DOWNEY (UK)

Greg Downey is a star on the rise. Tipped by many as ‘the next big thing’ Greg’s profile as an artist, much like his music, is boundless and indefinable. As part of current ‘it’ label Discover, Greg is unquestionably part of the new trance mafia alongside the likes of John Askew, Sean Tyas and Jon O'Callaghan. This year has also seen the introduction of Greg's defining remixes; 'Deems - Tears of Hope' and 'Bedrock - Heaven Scent'. Both tracks have enjoyed phenomenal success!

With this in mind you can see why Greg's fan base is growing stronger and he is tipped for huge success over the summer. Using 3 CDJs, Serato Scratch Live, Pioneer DJM 800 and EFX 1000 to devastating effect, one thing that you can be sure of is that Greg knows how to rock a party! www.myspace.com/gregdowney

LEON BOLIER (HOLLAND)

Leon Bolier is the latest in a long line of groundbreaking trance producers to emerge from Holland, with key releases on leading labels such as Spinnin Records, Armada Music, Black Hole and High Contrast. In the past 12 months Leon’s star has burnt ever brighter after collaborating with Joop on High Contrast Recordings to produce 'The Future', the official Trance Energy Anthem of 2007. Other hits from this young sensation include 'Summer Night Confessions', the 'Crazy People' collaboration with Astrid on Spinnin', a remix of Stephen J Kroos 'Formalistic' for Anjunabeats, not to mention a cheeky rework of 'X&Y' by Coldplay! www.myspace.com/leonbolier
