Interview proudly presents...
Interview 1st Birthday with Martin Roth
20th January 2007 : 5:00 am to 2:00 pm
Brown Alley - Corner Lonsdale & King Streets Melbourne
To celebrate Interview's 1st Birthday we have our biggest line up to date, showcasing MARTIN ROTH (Vandit/Lunatique Records)(Germany) Canberra's progressive love child JAYTECH (Live)(Canberra) and MOJO (Chunkee)(Sydney) and a score of Melbourne's best local & live acts!
It's been a huge year for the Interview Crew this year and we thank you all for your support at all of our parties.Without you, there would be no Interview!
It is a party for the people.
A place with the "no bullshit", "let's party" vibe that shakes dancefloors time and time again. After our last Brown Alley party with Andy moor (UK) in September, we are going to give the Alley one hell of a night to remember.
Expect to hear the finest professive electronica, deep house, german minimal, dirty electro & tribal, pumping uplifting trance and some booty tech - there will be something for everyone!
Martin Roths ascent through the ranks of trance musics biggest stars has been somewhat meteoric.
In the past twelve months his remixes for Paul Van Dyk on The Other Side, Thrillseekers on By your Side, Keane Last Time and Blank & Jones on Perfect Silence and Mind of the Wonderful have pricked the ears of every major DJ, A&R guru and trance music follower across the globe.
The thirty one year old Frankfurt based DJ / producer made his breakthrough in the trance scene over two years ago with a remake of Cygnus Xs classic track The Orange Theme, receiving huge coverage from the major DJs. Around the same time, Paul Van Dyk discovered Martins track Energize, released under the project name Technopunk and remixed it for his own label Vandit, resulting in a huge amount of interest in Martins productions. Martin was then asked by Paul to remix another track Jose Amnesia vs. Serp -Second Day for his Vandit which went on to become another successful release.
Promos of Martins new single Shockwaves on his own label LUNATIQUE received huge responses from the leading DJs and Martins reputation as a seriously consistent producer continued to build.
In the small city of Canberra, Australia, Jimbo Cayzer has been producing electronic music under the moniker "Jaytech" since the age of 14. Six years on, he has signed 10 worldwide releases with plenty more in the works, on labels such as Ministry of Sound, Hope Recordings and Sony. Whether it be on his own or in tandem with studio partner-in-crime Mark Dynamix, his works contain a strong melodic influence while still maintaining the solid, club-driven timbre that is essential to underground dance music today.
Jaytech's upcoming records have received support from the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Paul van Dyk, Anthony Pappa, Steve Gerrard and The Flash Brothers to name a few, and his new collaborations with Sydney's Matt Rowan have achieved great success internationally with both single releases and inclusions on upcoming Renaissance mix compilations.
Jimbo keeps himself constantly immersed in the world of dance music by producing, playing live around Australia, DJing with both old and new technology and listening to a wide range of music to better his sound, and his tracks serve as a reflection of his waking life.
With an ever-expanding career and zest for pushing electronic music forward, Jaytech is out to make a difference.
